Western Reserve University and a Bachelor of Engineering from Cochin University,
India. Dr. Ramanathan has spent the last 10 years developing aspects of ECGI software,
including numerical analysis, new regularization schemes, and methodology for analyzing and visualizing data. Her work on the application of the generalized minimal residual method was published in the Annals of Biomedical Engineering (2003) and was recently issued a patent. Dr. Ramanathan is experienced in setting up human clinical trials and is trained in human research policies and procedures. Her clinical work showcasing the first technical report of the ECGI technology in humans was published in Nature Medicine (April 2004). Her most recent work in using electrocardiographic imaging to image normal subjects was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. She has presented various aspects and results of the ECGI technology at various conferences including the scientific sessions of the American Heart Association and the Heart Rhythm Society. Dr. Ramanathan is a co-inventor of ECGI technology and co-founded the company.
Ping Jia Vice President, Clinical Development
Dr. Jia received her Ph.D. and M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western
Reserve University, and a Bachelor of Engineering from Tshighua University in Beijing,
China in 1993. Dr. Jia has 10 years of experience with ECGI Technology. In the course
of her graduate research, she led the initial study in Cardiac resynchronization therapy
using ECGI (in collaboration with University Hospitals of Cleveland). A report on this
study has been published in the Heart Rhythm Journal. Dr. Jia has also focused on
endocardial ECGI Technology, which allows noncontact intracavitary measurements of
endocardial electrical activity using a catheter. Prior to her studies at CWRU, Dr. Jia was
employed as a hardware engineer at Tiandi Hitech Company, Beijing, China, where she
